MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

ANGELA

Angela’s love for movement began with many years of dance training growing up—when she found barre, she was hooked!

Though you can often find Angela taking class with other instructors, she has found a strong passion for teaching and motivating both in fitness and dance. As an instructor, Angela is known for her positive energy and enthusiasm and she is excited to welcome you to Open Barre Co!

SYDNEY

Fitness is a big part of Sydney’s life and self-care practice.

She loves encouraging others to find what form of movement best serves their well-being. Sydney grew up as a dancer and her love for working with others inspired her to become an instructor in fitness and dance. Sydney’s upbeat and welcome energy informs her inclusive teaching style. She can’t wait to work with you!

SARAH

Sarah grew up with dance as a pillar in her life which led her to Pilates and fitness. Now a certified Pilates Instructor through A La Ligne Method and Physical Mind Institute, Sarah leads classes that connect the body and mind.

Those years of dance not only instilled a deep appreciation for movement but also grace and body awareness. Transitioning to Barre was a natural progression, as it allowed her to continue expressing herself through movement while embracing a new, energizing workout.

Sarah's classes will leave you feeling stronger, more in-tune with yourself, while always incorporating what she considers most important - lightness and fun!

ANNA

There is something about the repetitive, rhythmic movements in Barre that Anna finds incredibly fun and engaging—despite the burn!

Anna grew up doing ballet, modern dance and rhythmic gymnastics. As an adult she has committed to her practice in Yoga, Pilates and Barre. Her energy and smile are palpable and she can’t wait to move with you!

SABYNE

Sabyne’s journey with Barre began after 14 years of dance training.

After years of taking Barre classes with Angela, she discovered a new way to harness her dance background, finding joy in the fluidity of movement and the power of gaining strenghth. She can’t wait to start this new chapter of movement with everyone at Open Barre Co!

RACHEL

Upon moving to North Vancouver in 2017 from Perth and Kinross, Scotland—Rachel immediately immersed herself in the fitness industry, gaining qualifications in BCRPA Group Fitness, PhysicalMind Institute Prenatal Pilates, Mat & Standing Pilates and multiple Barre Certificates.

Now a Canadian Citizen, she is excited to continue her adventures with you as a Guest Instructor at Open Barre Co!

Alongside fitness, Rachel has a background in professional stage dance and performance and has gathered a wealth of experience in the Vancouver dance scene.
